New York Methodist Hospital offers a free support group for mothers and their newborns (from birth to three months old), the Breast Feeding Support Group. A certified lactation consultant leads the group. The group meets weekly on Tuesdays. New York Methodist Hospital offers a free Surgical Weight Reduction Information Seminar and Support Group. Healthy Volunteers 50 years old and older Needed for Electrophysiological Study.
Volunteers will be compensated for their participation.
IRB Approved (Jan. 7, 2010) Study Title: Saccades and Visuo-spatial Attention in Parkinson's Disease (PD): Gamma Synchrony and Sensory-Motor Interaction
The study is simple, painless, and not harmful EEG (electroencephalography - recordings of brain activity) and eye movements recordings. The study session will take about 1.5 hours. We would like to compare the brain responses of Parkinson's disease participants with those of healthy participants. Brooklyn In partnership with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Brooklyn District Public Health Office, PPS would like to invite you to a meeting to discuss the study findings as well as recommendations for making improvements to the transit stops and stations along the Malcolm X Boulevard/Utica Avenue/Fulton Street corridor, the areas around the bus stop and A/C Utica Avenue MTA station, and the streets, public spaces and publicly owned sites within that section of Bedford Stuyvesant. At this meeting, PPS will discuss community-based planning and research tools that can be used by communities to benefit transit ridership, facilitate more equitable transportation decisions, and create more vital neighborhoods.
