If you have recently been diagnosed wih early-onset Alzheimer's or a related disorder, you are not alone! There is a place just for you; a club that our current members say they certainly didn't expect to join, but are grateful to have.
Club members enjoy the companionship of similarly situated peers, as well as a variety of recreational activities, community service opportunities, and therapeutic care. Lotus Club members participate in a variety of programs, offered in a club-like setting where the goals are to cultivate lasting friendships, engage in their own personal growth, and avoid the social isolation that all too often accompanies an early diagnosis. Door-to-door transporation can be arranged. Our services are fee based, offering both private pay and managed care options. Please call us to discuss the options.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH or enlarged prostate) is a natural, non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate that affects more than half of all men over the age of 60, as well as a large percentage of men under the age of 60. The symptoms include frequent urination, weak flow and interrupted sleep. There are many different alternatives to treating BPH and on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Ivan Grunberger, MD, New York Methodist Hospital’s chief of urology, and Edward Zoltan, MD, NYM’s director of voiding dysfunction, will discuss those options. Sickle cell disease is an inherited disease of the blood that interferes with the body’s ability to manufacture normal hemoglobin (part of the red blood cell that carries oxygen).
